Meet Kenny, founder of Integral Expedition
As early as I can recall, I’ve had a yearning to offer my best to the world, a curiosity for its inner workings, and a conviction that humanity had the potential to create a much better fate for all the inhabitants of this world. I experienced first-hand the pain of feeling out of place and of untapped potential, as I dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts for over a decade. Yes, I just wrote that. On a public website. I know how crazy or weak I might look to some. But today I stand unashamed and very grateful for these hardships, which shaped me into the man I am today, willing to show up with authenticity, the courage to care, and confidence in my ability to impact the world for the better.
With over a decade of experience as a facilitator in the public (Citizenship and Immigration Canada), private and non-profit (Authentic Montreal) sectors as well as my coaching training and experience, I coach individuals, teams, and offer developmental workshops on a wide range of topics that I feel are pivotal to deal with today’s global challenges.
I’m also a certified Integral Master Coach ™, trained at Integral Coaching Canada, and have been offering life coaching for the past few years.
As an associate coach at Spring Strategies, I support change-makers and activists for social and climate justice.
In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, and the eye-opening murder of George Floyd, filled with uncertainty, angst, pain and confusion, I scrambled to make sense of the world around me and what it might need. Despite this uncertainty, something in me felt more solid than ever, held by a conviction that is best described in the insightful words of writer, activist, and ordained zen priest Angel Kyodo Williams: ‘‘for us to be transformed as a society, we have to allow ourselves to be transformed as individuals’’. It was clear that I could use my abilities, deep care, and enthusiasm to create experiences that support people in becoming the change they want to see in the world, and help them navigate their inner terrain along the way.
